What do you love most about where you live?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 16, 2007:
I love Portland, Oregon's Urban Growth Boundary which creates a dense city optimizing and saving resources, making bike commuting and mass transit easy, and preserving open land for farms, forests, and wildlife. I've been thinking about moving closer to my family on the east coast, but I'm reluctant to leave this all behind.
